Kalispell, MT - The Missoula PaddleHeads would find themselves in a foreign position in the early going in the series finale opposite the Glacier Range Riders on Thursday night. After leading wire to wire in the first two games at Flathead Field, Glacier would hold a 2-1 advantage from the first inning through the fifth. That trend would not continue past that point however as the PaddleHeads attack would come to life in a big way.
Kameron Willman would give Missoula the lead in the sixth with a clutch 2-out double to score a pair in the frame to make the score 3-2. That would just be the start as Missoula's offense would also get on the board over the next three frames to cruise to a 12-4 victory to complete the sweep over the Range Riders.
The PaddleHeads proved to be road warriors over this six game road trip finishing 6-0 on the trip. Missoula has also one each of their last 10 road games played overall. Missoula's offense made certain they would complete the task Thursday opposite the Range Riders over the final 3 innings.
Missoula would tally 3 runs in each of the final three innings of action Thursday to put away the Range Riders after the slow start offensively. 6 batters in the Missoula order would finish with at least 2 hits in the game with Missoula tallying 16 hits total. Doubles from Lamar Sparks, Jayson Newman, and Nick Gatewood would do a lot of the damage over those innings as part of those rallies.Gatewood would finish 2-for-4 with 3 driven in while Sparks was 2-for-6. Newman would also record a hit in his 24th straight game to finish 1-for-5.
Keaton Greenwalt would help the PaddleHeads put on the finishing touches offensively over the final two innings with a pair of singles to drive home runs to extend Missoula's advantage. Greenwalt's singles in those frames would score McClain O'Conner in both instances with the single in the ninth rounding out the scoring to make the score 12-3. Greenwalt and O'Conner would both finish the game 3-for-5 at the dish.
Mark Timmins would see the first 4 batters he faced in the first inning reach base in the early going in the first as the Range Riders would take a 2-1 lead. That would be the only semblance of success the Glacier offense would find for the remainder of time that Timmins was on the mound.
Over the next 4 innings, the Nebraska native would only allow 1 base runner, retiring 8 batters in a row in order in one stretch from the end of the first through the third. Timmins would allow only 3 hits total over 5 innings while striking out 4 to earn his second win of the season on the mound. The Nebraska-Omaha product has not allowed more than 2 runs in any of his last 3 starts.

Missoula will now see action opposite the Range Riders (13-24) shift to the Garden City as the PaddleHeads will open a 3 game series on Friday night.
