Taubensee Returns To The Active Roster
2nd Year Pro Set To Make Season Debut In Ogden
The 12 game road trip for the Missoula PaddleHeads continues this week with a 6-game series against the Ogden Raptors. Missoula will look to get back in the win column after losing their last 2 games against the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds. The PaddleHeads held the lead in the 7th inning or later in both of those games. The bullpen does have reinforcements on the way however in the form of a returnee from last year's team.
Southpaw Matthew Taubsensee has been activated to the active roster for the first time as of Tuesday afternoon. The Florida native was put on the inactive list prior to the start of the season due to lower body tightness. Taubensee did see action during Spring Training exhibitions and has been traveling with the team through the road trip. Now the 2nd year professional is set to make his season debut coming off a fantastic run as a rookie.
Taubensee blossomed into one of the league's best bullpen options in his first season with the PaddleHeads in 2025. The North Greenville product posted a 2.78 ERA In 32 games a season ago striking out 64 batters in 35 ⅔ innings. Taubensee was often used in the late innings in the 7th or 8th and will look to do so once again this season. His first challenge will come in the Beehive State.
The PaddleHeads (3-3) open a 6-game set at Lindquist Field on Tuesday evening against the Ogden Raptors (2-4). Missoula sends rookie left hander Jarren Jackson to the mound in search of his first professional win. First pitch from the base of the Wasatch Mountains is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Hear the call on ESPN Missoula 102.9 F.M.
