Title: SPRING MARKETING AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT INTERN
Duration: Jan 27th, 2025 - May 9th, 2025
Compensation: Unpaid for credit only
Reports to: Meredith Wright and Riley Fox
We are looking for a creative, community-minded individual who enjoys bringing people together and strengthening community ties. This person should be a self-starter with effective communication skills, graphic design skills and a collaborative mindset.
This is an unpaid internship-for-credit. We are looking for a commitment of 150 hours of office work over the spring academic term. The internship runs from January 27th to May 9th. Office hours can be broken up and decided by the student and Intern manager.
Responsibilities and expectations:
- Hit the Books: Help with execution of Hit the Books – our spring reading program, executed in Missoula and surrounding area elementary schools. This program incentivizes kids to read by awarding prizes and PaddleHeads game tickets for time spent reading. This project includes communicating with teachers/coordinators, organizing reading hours and delivering prizes.
- Graphic Design: Creating support graphics for marketing campaigns – Nonprofit Tuesday program, PaddleHeads Post and Baseball Operations.
- Operations of Marketing Events: Attend Spring PaddleHeads Community Marketing events. Assist with setup, marketing materials, etc.
2025 Spring Projects:
Maximize the Missoula PaddleHeads Hit the Books Reading Program by encouraging local students to read more and increase ballpark attendance through donated game tickets for student hours read.
A successful project will result in:
- 1600 students participate in Hit the Books
- Total of 20,000 hours read
- 25 participating schools
- Plug n’ Play assets created for all specified marketing campaigns
- Increase PaddleHeads Post Online sales by 10% for the months of February – May, compared to 2024.
