Willman Returns to Active Roster Sunday
PaddleHeads Franchise Player Returns From Inactive List
The Missoula PaddleHeads will be wrapping up a 6-game set with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox Sunday in the final meeting between these clubs this season. It has been a dominant week for Missoula having won each of the first 5 games. The PaddleHeads will now look to finish off a sweep of this series in this matinee affair. Not only will the PaddleHeads enter this contest with confidence, one of their core players will also be added back into the fold.
Franchise player Kamron Willman will make his return Sunday being activated from the inactive list. The middle infielder has not appeared in a game since August 3 but is in the starting lineup for the series finale with the Sky Sox. Willman holds a .279 batting average in 57 games played with the PaddleHeads this season.
The corresponding transaction involved newly signed pitcher David Domis being placed on the 60-day inactive list. The southpaw unfortunately suffered a season-ending injury in his professional debut on Saturday afternoon and will return to his home state of Florida to begin rehab. Domis struck out 6 and did not allow an earned run in his first outing as a professional in 3 ⅔ innings of work in a PaddleHeads win.
Willman holds a career .329 batting average in 196 games played as a PaddleHead dating back to 2022. The former Twins product finished with a .359 batting average last season in 59 games played. Willman has knocked in 150 runs in his career while also hitting 45 doubles. The former Lobo will now look to contribute in Missoula's stretch run toward the end of the season and the Pioneer League playoffs.
The PaddleHeads (55-22) wrap up a 6-game slate with the Sky Sox (18-58) on Sunday afternoon at Allegiance Field looking to finish off a sweep of this series. First pitch on a 'Kids Free Sunday' is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. Head to the ballpark to be a part of the fun or tune in on ESPN Missoula 102.9 F.M.
